SEARS TOWER

The Sears Tower is an example of the heights that HLP Systems will go to provide the best protection available. High-rise structural steel buildings such as Sears only pose a difficulty due to their height. As long as the structure is electrically continuous to the ground, there is no need to run separate down conductor cables. Once the grounding is installed during the beginning of construction, the roof work only needs to be connected to the top of the steel structure. It is not uncommon for a tall, slender structure to take only a few working days to protect over the entire duration of the project.
